Chelsea vs Liverpool - Frank Lampard’s Army will find joy

Frank Lampard’s Army to find joy

After making light work in beating Wolves 5-2 at the Molineux in their last EPL match, Chelsea couldn’t repeat the feat in the Champions League group opener against Spanish side Valencia, and they narrowly lost to the visitors who gave a good account of themselves by shocking the Hosts in front of their own fans.

Chelsea was awarded a penalty towards the closing stages of the encounter, but Ross Barkley will lose his kick to make the result remains in favor of the away side.

Before their match against Valencia, the Blues have made a pleasing start to their league campaign, and they have built their recent success on the back of a prolific attacking play, as young striker Tammy Abraham has been scoring goals for fun, and also causing significant problems for his opponents.

After Man city dropped points against Norwich, Liverpool faithful will be happy seeing their team siting pretty well in the first spot with a five-point lead above their closest rivals Man city.

It was Déjà vu for the reds who went to Napoli with the hope of getting a decent result in the Uefa Champions League, but the hosts proved to be too strong for the visitors, as they left Italy with nothing, and Liverpool players are still cleaning tears.

Liverpool rally round to beat Newcastle United last time out, but couldn’t win against Napoli in Naples. Two defensive error led to their defeat and caused the team, though, am sure Klopp will be telling his soldier to put the result in Italy behind them, and focus more on the league, even now that they have a five point advantage, and a realistic chance of winning the English premier league for the first time.

Key player such as Mane, Salah and Firmino will be thinking of causing the hosts plenty of problems, and also give Liverpool their first victory at Stamford Bridge for almost two season, but am super sure Frank Lampard has other ideas, and will also be thinking of doing the unthinkable by stopping the European champions who currently look unstoppable, after both teams played out a 2-2 draw in the Uefa super cup final before finally losing on penalties to the Reds.  .

Chelsea have failed to keep a clean sheet in front of their own fans, but they look very dangerous whenever they attack their opponents as their young squad are using their youthfulness to attack with plenty of purpose, while  Liverpool themselves haven’t failed to score on their travels since the start of the new campaign, and if the likes of Leicester city, and Sheffield United ( no disrespect to them) can find the back of the net against Chelsea, I see no reason why Liverpool shouldn’t get a goal here or probably more, so we think a Both team to score looks viable.

Final Pick: Both teams to score
